I feel a bit silly having an about me page… Most who arrive here know who I am… For those who’ve stumbled upon this blog, my name is Lary… I’m a girl named Lary. It’s on my birth certificate… Lary like a guy, I say, so people get it.
My body told me it was time to hit the road… again. My maiden “living like I’m dying” voyage took me around the United States in an RV for a couple of years… Awesome experience… A dress rehearsal for the big show… well, not quite the BIG one… I’m not dead yet, nor in the immediate vicinity… This foray into the unknown, however, has zero safety net… Leaves the possibility of sending me to my demise easier, I suppose… Very exciting!!
I have no possessions other than what I can stuff into my hybrid suitcase trunk on rollers… no itinerary, no Zyrtec D, and as of a few days ago, no ATM card… Talk about freedom.
My blog serves as a documentation of this crazy, chaotic, inspiring, insane trek I’ve undertaken… I shall wander aimlessly, purposefully, inspired, mostly lost, falling into unexpected, awful, funny, challenging situations through Southeast Asia, living life moment to moment… This is a road map for those who care about me; to assure those few that there are no snakes, nor spiders, tsunamis or tigers, dirty water, raw fishes, young boys granting wishes, heat-filled days and humid nights, crappy wine, muscles tight… my life in raw form… exactly as I live it…
I imagine, however, the most important purpose of all this (because believe me, it has been a complete and utter nightmare getting this damn website up and running…clumps of hair fall around me as I type… for real) is although I am going at this alone, sharing my day to day with whoever chooses to read this keeps me from being lonely…
So to anyone who is following… thanks for keeping me company …
